I've toyed with the idea of another bullie but keep finding reasons not to.
Then I hear of lines forming at  both Sharon and Rita's.
I suddenly had the urge to get in a line somewhere.

I thought Chubb's mama wasn't planned for another litter till spring '07 but Beth said Chyna was due Nov 08!! Of course thats if she's got puppies. She "carries them so high" it's hard to tell and they didn't know she was prenant with Chubbs.

She was bred to the breeder's Vet's stud Master Griffin Haus.
I don't know though, that would make 'Alice'  ready to come home during the worst part of our winter, the first 2 weeks of January.  Roll Eyes

Is it a bad idea to bring the puppy home then and to potty train?
Here's the prospective parents. Chyna's pic is a little distorted on the tall side but you can see where Chubbs got his looks from.

Uh oh.  Once you have the itch for another there really is no turning back.  It's just a matter of time.

Will you have any kids home for winter break then?  Make them earn their keep  Wink  Or, if you don't want to deal with the horrible cold you could also use those potty pads for some of your training.  They worked great for Carl (but Gerty thinks they're chew toys  Undecided)

heheehe..You got the bug!!!!  It is much easier to potty train in the spring/summer months...I know this from experience.  But when you find the right breeder and breeding for your family, sometimes it's a little harder to be choosey about timing because it is all up to the momma's as to when they come into season.
I am excited for you Blaine!!!

You do. Take it from Arlo Guthrie:

..."You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant
You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant
Walk right in it's around the back
Just a half a mile from the railroad track
You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant..."

You need an Alice.

oh, ya'll are just pushing me right off the edge and I thought maybe you'd reel me back in.   Roll Eyes
I'm so happy to have this think tank to plug into!!

I've got to check my highschool and college girls dates. This breeder has a couple other litters in the offing too. If not, I think I  could probably change my hours and come in late afternoon like from 3pm on.
when you find the right breeder and breeding for your family...
I like the more wrinkled with big heads and nose ropes but all the sad health issues that are reported daily almost convinced me I didn't want to take another chance. Chubbs has been completely healthy, so I'm really drawn to go back to the source. Does that make sense?  If I was a real risk taker, I'd be making a lots of cash by now and it wouldn't matter.  Grin

It's worse than I thought. I just thought of the registered name:
Chyna's Alice Joy

GO FOR IT!  I showed my husband some baby pics of Oliver (my husband was holding baby ollie and he was so small he could hold him up with one hand!) My husband said "we need to get another one" I was sooooooo excited....but my work and travel schedule are really crazy at the moment.  Also, we were just away on vacation and had to leave my little oliver with my sister in law...i know he likes it there and i'm sure they took care of him--but not like I do.  I realized if I get another, i will be really tied to my house--and we like to travel to my parents cape house (i can bring oliver but not sure how they would feel about two--not big dog lovers) and to boston, etc.  Anyway, I feel your pain.  I really really really want another.......but I want to be sure I am ready.......

I love the name you picked and Chubbs is really beautiful!  You may have to go for it.

... I'm really drawn to go back to the source. Does that make sense?...

Makes absolute sense to me. I'm a big fan of tried and true.

One of the things I like about having 2, okay 3, pooches is that they entertain each other. We're fairly active and interactive with our gang, but when they're up for some serious games of tug, tag or wrestling, they turn to each other. It's obvious that they prefer each other for games - conks them out too  Grin

i totally agree, that is the #1 reason i want another one--i know oliver would love having a companion, he loves other dogs and i feel like he gets bored.  but at the same time, finding someone to watch 2 is harder than 1.......at least in our situation--no family dog lovers.

Us too. Usually, when we travel, we stay at pet friendly hotels. If we absolutely can't bring them, we hire a pet sitter to come over 4 times a day and walk them. The pet sitter leaves the patio door open for them during the day so they can get in and out when they want.
