Bullie Baby

« on: November 22, 2006, 05:34:18 PM »

Well, the story of Bubba Gump or BG continues.  His surgery at U of Penn was very successful with 4 neurosurgeons on board.  One cutting and 3 observing (some from other hospitals).  This was quite an event as most bulldogs with tethered nerve/spina bifida are destroyed upon diagnosis.  BUT he is being given a 70% chance of regaining full function.  How about them apples?!  BG was walking around (yes walking around) the evening of his spinal surgery and looking for snacks.  The staff remains enamored.  Nurse Michelle has decided to relinquish custody to the surgeon and his family who cared for him while she was in Florida.  The clincher was when she went to pick him up and the 3 year old child became distraught at his leaving.  Bubba got on the couch and licked his tears away and well as they say...the rest is history.  He is the million dollar dog.
