Vintage bulldog picture

I thought this picture was super cool.  I don't know the year it's from but the bulldog doesn't look all that different from todays.

That's very cool and you're right, the Bullie isn't all that different.  Maybe just a touch more athletic looking(?)  I wonder what the picture was for? Like if it was an advertisment, what was it for?

I wish I knew what it was for.  They used to use bulldogs in all sorts of ads in the 50's. 
I've got a print in my living room that I framed of a Mama and baby bulldog and the ad was for Old Gold cigarettes.  It's from a 1952 Saturday Evening Post.  I got it off ebay for $4 and it's 11x14.  They always have a ton of old bulldog prints there

I have a tin picture that was on the side of a Milk bone ad. I guess they use to use it on the store walls or something.
