Hey ...
So heres the scoop, Brian and I were in a little car incident and  we are going to have to buy a new car now....  (Were ok and I just hurt my arm but its fine now and I can put my own bra on now!! HAHA.......) This new car is going to be used. And Im looking at Honda CR-V's and Kia Sportages....  Do any of you have opinions about the Kia you want to share with me. I know Honda is a good car, Brian drives one... But im curious about the kia..... The one were looking at is a 2002.  It has under 60.000 mileage on it.... Hmmmm Is this a huge mistake? I did a CARFAX review and there is nothing nasty written about it. Thanks for the input.... Kisses  Kiss     Kiss     Kiss

First very smart move -  getting the Carfax.

I've always kind of liked the Sportage but the smartest thing money wise would be going with the Honda.
Maybe cost you a few more dollars now but that higher resale value will come in handy down the road besides all the repairs you WON'T be performing on a Honda versus Kia.

Honda would be the best one all around. Best quality durability and best resa;e value. Im a car dealer myself and i know how much ppl pay for those hondas its insane.

hi, tosha!

i'm speaking from experience here...my husband and i just bought a honda pilot 4 weeks ago, and i LOVE it!! it has great safety ratings, and is rated great for reliability.  it also is about $5000 less a year in cost of ownership than other mid-size suvs.  we are very happy with it, and we love the fact that tug's kennel fits in the back popped up.  he goes on lots of road trips with us, so it's nice to be able to put him back there.  the CRV will be smaller, but Hondas are GREAT vehicles.  i think you'll be happy with the CRV!  good luck with your decision!

Tosha - I agree with everyone else that the Honda would be the better of the two - in regards to resale as well as reliability.  How many miles are on the Honda?  Would you be buyingit from a Honda delaership?  If so.... is it pre-certified?

My husband and I both had honda's when we first met a million years ago and we drove both of them almost 10 years and until they both had 180K + miles on them and sold them for silly money even with that high mileage!  We had very few repairs...mainly maintenance items.  I would go with the Honda.  We are currently looking to get a van and are leaning toward the Honda Oddysey.

Oh no Tosha I'm sorry to hear about your accident but I'm relieved everyone's ok now  Wink
Cars are definitely replaceable and thankfully nobody was severely injured  Smiley

As for the car, that Suzuki is really cute. I don't know anything about them though  Undecided
Good luck in your search  Smiley

I'm glad to hear that you are okay after the accident  Smiley

Good luck on your car hunt !! My brother in law's girlfriend has a CRV and she really loves it. They have 2 german shepard pups and have no problem taking them both in it. I dont know anything about the Suzuki or the Kia though. If you are looking for a small SUV, I had a ford escape as a rental car once and it was really nice and drove well. We drove through a horrible storm and it did really well.

Have fun  Grin
