Lizzie's trip started back in August

Our trip together started, stopped and evolved for 10 weeks.  (well, close enough and it may as well been 10 months)

Wonderful offers for sidetrips have been made my a number of beautiful members which will end up not being a reality.

Now it's wild-hair time!!  I've stood all I can stand and I can stand no more. 
 I'm waking up the wife and damn the schedules...  I'm hitting the road now!  Guess we'll end up killing time in NY somewhere tomorrow, probably around Montgomery where Orange County Choppers and Nub Grafix is at.  Then shag a room and finish the drive up to get Lizzie Thu morning.

It was meant to be...  HAD to be to have driving conditions this good through this part of the country at the end of December!!

We got to NY yesterday afternoon and fooled around down in Walden and Montgomery.  Went in to Orange County Choppers retail store. Most of the theme bikes they've built for the Amercian Chopper show was on display was kind of cool since I'd watched them planned and built from scratch. Drove by Nub Grafix who has done most of the paint jobs but his place was closed.

Geez!  If you've ever watched that show,  you can rest assured that the Teutels are no act and neither is Mikey or the way they rough house around.  These are little bitty hick towns in the middle of nowhere... right up my alley!! 

I decided to push on up closer towards Albany to reduce the travel time this morning to go get Lizzie. We finally stopped at a Best Western about 22 miles from Albany. Both brain dead after our 18 hour road trip. Poor Vangie hung in with me though. It was beautiful through all the low hills with snow flurries but nothing was sticking

The weather is so cooperative, I've decided to take the shorter route back up to Buffalo and down I90 along Lake Erie. I guess Niagra Falls is on the way so we'll see if it's still flowing.

I'm glad you are having such great weather. Sounds like all is going great so far. I hope you have just as great and safe of a trip back home with great weather also. Remember, lots and lots of Lizzie pics.
