Waiting on fence approval... :(

Im venting here....

 When we first moved in we put in a fence application to our Home Owners Association.... Well we were waiting and waiting to hear a reply.. Turns out the lady that was the HOA  and her company were not doing a good  job well and the people here fired her. She lost all of our application and blue prints etc for the fence... ARGGGG...
So we had to put in another application. We went ahead and got a company to give us a estimate and write everything up for us. I gave him a $300 deposit and he said he can start this month.. It will take two days if that.. Im really excited so I can let my girls run free in the yard and not worry about the children in the area coming through and scaring  the girls.
  Anyways, ive been waiting on the reply now for a few weeks and im getting upset.   Ive e-mailed the president of the HOA and the Vice President.... I don't know what else to do at this point. They only have e-mail address on the HOA info package and  I don't know how else to get ahold of them . Brian refuses to allow the fence people to start without consent from the HOA because he thinks they can make us tear it down if we put it up even though the people behind us just put up a fence last week.... We followed the paper work and we even had to go and get permision from our neighbours.... They didnt ask us anything yet they put it up... ARGGGGGGG Im thinking they just did it with out filling out the forms....  Why can't Brian and I be rebels..... Why I ask you!!!!!

You poor thing!!  I have to agree with Brian though....I would rather be safe than sorry!

I'm sorry but I agree with Brian also. The subdivision my uncle used to live in had strict rules about decks and fences and if you didn't follow the rules you could get fined and have to tear you deck or fence out.

that must be so frustrating, but I agree, don't do it until you have permission.  It would be awful to have to tear it down again

I'll stay neutral   I don't think that he is right exactly but politically correct.   The HOA could make your life a living he!! if you install it without their approval and then they fine you and make you rip it down.  (Speaking from experience here ..... one rebel to another )

I feel your pain... my last apartment was a PITA with stuff on the deck and around your front door.

It wasn't OK for me to have a shelf on my deck, but other people had those plastic storage units out there, and crap everywhere.  ME, I get a nasty gram left on my front door.

I do feel your pain, I have about 3/4 of an acre now, and we don't have a fence.  I'm gonna put up chicken wire in one corner so I can take the girls out and let them run without worrying - LMAO!

Guys.... I feel the love totally......   The true reason for the fence is because of these dang kids... They come into our yard and they take there bikes up our hill and ride down it. Usually LuLu will run to our door when they come to our place but Sarah.... Well she actually runs after them and will not back down, she wont bit them but still. The kids are brats. Ive tried telling them and they don't care... ..... Oh my word also  there is this chic that comes and lets her huge dog poo in our yard..... I was shocked .... She lives above us on the hill a little down from us... I got the balls to tell her her to  pick up her dogs poo but  it took my sassy neighbour to tell her off in a nasty way for her to stop coming around.... Yah hoo for my neighbour RUBY!!  The balls of some peeps the balls I say!!!! Anyways thats me venting again... It feels really good I must say.... I shall let you all know if and when we get the approval.... Kisses to you all.
