If you do not want a "pancake" or "saggy baggy", you can ask your vet to do a scrotal ablation.

http://www.acvs.org/AnimalOwners/HealthConditions/SmallAnimalTopics/CastrationinDogsCats/

Scrotal ablation (removal) may be discussed by the attending surgeon at the time of consultation. Reasons for scrotal ablation would include the presence of a large, pendulous scrotum at the time of castration or for the treatment of the primary disease (trauma, neoplasia).

Thanks Trish...I am printing the link out. This would definately be the case with Sarge...He's not only big boned...But well also large in that area as well. (Kind of like our first bulldog Jake. Whom is still discussed sometimes at the table during the holidays with the in laws~ Roll Eyes it was a facination of my FIL...To the point I took a picture of it and was going to send it to him...And I got it back blacked out with a notice about what is allowed to be processed~ Roll Eyes I was like...IT WAS A PICTURE OF THE DOG...They just looked at me like ...SUUUUUURE IT IS~
