Lumpy's Mom!

« on: October 09, 2004, 03:47:56 PM »

One of Lumpy's toenails on his left front foot is infected. He is limping and won't let me touch it. I took him in today and he is on Rimadyl for the pain and also to reduce the inflammation, Clavamox for the infection, and I have to soak his foot in Epsom salts 2-3 times a day.  Sad Of course, he is being very dramatic about it all... Roll Eyes So, he gets to stay in the big bed even if I'm not in there... Wink

Lumpy's Mom!

I don't know how he got it. It's strange b/c it was all of a sudden there last night. I was fussing at him and telling him how he was not acting like a big boy (he teedled in his kennel...we had made such progress *sigh*) and he was acting super pitiful. He got into my lap and couldn't seem to get that foot comfortable. So, I attempted to look at it and he had a small fit. He started growling. He would never bite me, so I kept looking at it and could see that it was swollen. Jeff accidentally let Lumpy out with Bella yesterday morning and they got into a fight, so I thought he was injured from the fight. So, I brought him to see on of the vets I work with. So, it is just a coincidence that his toenail is infected after the fight. BTW, there were no serious injuries to either dog in the fight.

Lumpy is doing much better. He has five days left of Clavamox. I couldn't get him to stand in the salt water, so that didn't happen.  Tongue Thank you to everyone for asking about him.  Cheesy
