Contact Nike regarding Michael Vick

Even though Michael Vick was federally indicted yesterday for animal cruelty, Nike has decided to keep Vick as a spokesperson.

Call 1-800-344-6453 (6am - 4pm PT, Monday - Friday) Press prompt #5.

Tell them your name and state, and inform them that you will not be purchasing Nike products, nor will you invest in the company as a shareholder, until they drop Michael Vick as a sponsored athlete.


You can also e-mail them. Go to http://www.nike.com/index.jhtml
Click on Customer Service at the bottom of that page. Then go to Contact Us. Go to the bottom to Nike USA Consumer Services.
Click on Email us.
In the first drop down box click on Nike - The Company.
Then click on other in the next drop down box.
Put Michael Vick as the subject and type your e-mail.

Here is a sample:

I am writing to inform you that I will no longer buy Nike products nor will I invest in your company as a shareholder until Nike drops Michael Vick as a sponsored athlete. I will also ask my friends to do the same.

Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.

You can call them also. I did both  . A recording will come on when you call them telling you the hold time is in excess of 20 minutes...it is not true. I got through in less than a minute. The guy told me that he was going to forward it to their feedback person who will print it out and present it at the next board meeting.

On a side note, I haven't purchased a Nike product in over 10 years. If you really investigate the company, you can find out about all the sweatshops oversees, and the poor children that are being injured on the machines everyday who are highly underpaid. After all the reading I have done, it makes me sick just to see Nike products. I guess I'm not all that surprised that they are not dropping him. If they don't care about injuring and killing others to make a profit, why would they care about the image of one of their spokesman. He's still a hero to most kids who haven't heard about his illegal activities. It makes me mad just thinking about it.

(Sorry - I know that was way too much information. I just can't stand the company.)
