and also if you see the puppies that are on a pink heart table cloth on a table and you can see someones arm or hand in the pic...run i have seen several of the same photo with different contacts. they are all scams out of cameroon africa.

I remember, when we were looking for a puppy, I googled all kinds of information and it was so hard to find a place where you could actually get an advice on how to proceed to avoid scamers and puppy mills .... etc.

There is no such place ! the information is really broad and it's like walking the mine field( did I say it right )

Anyway, I am so glad this opens this discussion, hopefully more people will get here  and read before getting in trouble.

I think, also maybe posting an article on the site, which has this info  and those emails and web sites ( at least the one's are known to be scamers) would be very helpfull

I know there have been issues with bulldog.ravine@comcast.net... Although you do get a dog, they are apparently imported from Russia and usually have health issues.

ETA: Apparently they've been shut down and both have had to hand in their licenses and were charged.

It has been over a year since I contacted people for bulldogs and things have not changed.  Scammers are still out there by the hundreds. Here is a scam from Father David (fatherd8@gmail.com) to give people an idea of what these scams look like:

God day,Terry and Thelma  are  my  puppies just in need of a good home.i have decided to give them out  to  any  good and Christian home due to my transfer in Victoria Ca,i will not be able to take good care of  Terry and Thelma.Terry is the female and Thelma is the male.I'm giving each of the puppies for $350 including transportation,but if you will like to take both puppies,i will give you for $600 including transportation as well.also have you ever had a dog before?both puppies are very friendly with kids and other pets,they are all vet checked,potty trained  and will be coming with all health papers and permit.i have tried you number but its not going  through,please can you call me on 0023794126887 or +23794126887.looking forward to read from you or call.

This is not a very intelligent scam.  For one, the add I got this from was listed in Newfoundland, Canada, and those telephone numbers are not from North America.  Anothe rthing is that I did not give this person my telephone number so how could they try to reach me.

Alot of these people use religion as a means of fooling people to believe that they are real.  Stay away from this person and anyone who says they are a Father or looking for a good Christian home.

I replied to him/her telling them to get a real job and how much of a scumbag he/she was.

I have several e-mails out to potential scammers and will post their e-mails if/when I receive somehting back from them.

Just found this scammer:   adederek2008@yahoo.com.  Their english is pretty good in their e-mails and they only require you to send them $150 for a ticket from Cameroun because they JUST relocated...just my luck! lol

I, too, ran across a scam about bullodg puppies - I saw an classified ad in our local paper for a bullie puppy (AKC registered, vet checked, etc.) for $400. I was suspicious but called the number listed in the ad - disconnected. I did a little googling and found another number for that address - also disconnected.

There was an email address in the ad, so I tied it, and was extremely suspicious at this point. This is the email I got back (from email address jffryhj@yahoo.com):

The puppy is AKC RegIistered,has all shots upto date. she's vet checked.But unfortunately,she's just been adopted,some few days ago and I just sold to Mr. Richard in (Vidor,TX),But you can get in touch with Another One of my customer that I sold another puppy to,who is looking for caring parent to adopt the the lil pup now. His name is Evangelist Mike homes, he called me that he had been transfered to West Africa on a christian mission,due to his immediate relocation, he went with his wife, and also had the puppy with him overthere.His commitment to the work of God could not enable his to stay with the puppy often according to him,and that the climatic condition of the country is too harsh for the puppy's health, so he needs a caring parent who can adopt the baby back to the United States of America as soon as possible.he will provide the shipping agent to have the puppies shipped back to you.But i suggest you contact him soon as possible Via Email: maryhomes111@yahoo.comHe will be very much delightfull to hear from you,so as to have this puppy shipped to you asap.HE REQUESTED,  a caring and loving parent for his baby,and i am so sure he will be so excited if he knows I directed you to him.Kindly notify me immediately the baby is adopted

My babies name are derby(female) and terry(male). they are  3months old 1week, Currently vaccinated, Vet Examined, Health certified and comes with a 1yr health guarantee the puppies are potty trained, home  raised and family socialized as well as crate trained, they have tremendous attitude, excellent temperament with great personalty, very friendly with other pets and little kids, they have an incredible high rate of learning and they are AKC registered, recently dewormed, current on all shots, well animated .

My church member love them so much but I could not let any of them adopt the babies because it`s still same west africa. Let me have your full mailing address,contact phone number and the nearest airport to your home so as to determine what the shipping and handling charge would be from my shipping agent that shipped them into west africa for me.

I was talking about this on another pet forum I'm on and a lady from Savannah, GA sent me article detailing a scam identical to this - we reported it to the Secret Service office in Savannah as well as a local office and requested that the newspaper pull the ad. What losers...

In my personal opinion I would never purchase a bulldog over the internet.  You never know what you are going to get.  If you are seriously thinking of owning a bulldog, you should look into reputable breeders or adoption.  Everyone knows they can make money off the sale of a bullie so of course you are going to find plenty of scams over the internet.

When I was looking for Frank I hadn't heard of this scam but it became pretty obvious pretty quick what the scam was  (it's like they used a free online language translator- they always to the puppies as  "Babies".  At one point I was emailing several people that ALL turned out to be "transferred" to Cameroon or Nigeria at a moments notice for some missionary bulls**t.  WHO MOVES TO AFRICA WITHOUT ANY NOTICE??? & how do they gat around quarentining the dog???  LOL ...  It was pretty obvious to me.. so I started messing with them ...leading them on about "oh I'll have the money soon"...but I can't send it until you give me your phone number so I can thank you is person...etc.  Let the excuses begin.

I liked messing with these pricks that steal from people.

I answered an ad in our local paper for a "free" EB puppy. It sounded just too good to be true. I will post the emails below to warn anyone against such ads.  After reading thru these replies I decided this was a scam also since the person told me they relocated to Akcia Cameroon Which seems to be the origin of the scams mentioned above. I would never aquire a puppy that has to be flown to me anyway. Its just too stressful and dangerous for the puppy. (just my opinion) Anyway I cant say for sure if this is a scam but after reading all the above it sure sounds like it. Here is the replies I recieved to my emails.
