Dozers eyes always are watery. How much is too much??What are some other signs I should look for to know if there is something wrong with his eyes??

         Not sure but check that his eye lashes dont go back in and hit the eye.  ouch.

I have a question for you: when you saying watering too much is it the tear stains?  

the only thing I could think of would be distocchia which is when the eyelashes are growing in on the eye sometimes they can have more than one row of eyelids or entropion...

I would get it checked out. My little Elvis just had entropian surgery (when the eyelids roll in, causing the lashes to scratch the cornea, which can cause blindness) on all 4 lids yesterday...what a nightmare. It has been hard on him and on my wallet! It can't hurt to check it out!

I know that in Elvis' case, the vet was keeping an eye on it, and looked extra carefully at his eyes every year when he had his exam, and this time, she said it was time to go to the ophthalmologist.  Cry He had the entropion surgery 2.5 weeks ago, and he is doing great! The ophthalmologist is very impressed with how great his corneas look already. It was expensive, but, of course, it was worth it!  Grin
