New Forum Boards added for Breeding Discussion

Very soon you will see a new section of the forum called the "Whelping Box"

The Whelping Box area is a specialized semi-restricted section mainly for the use by Registered Breeders. For our purposes Registered Breeders currently refers to Bulldog breeders who are registered with the Bulldog Club of America (BCA) but may be expanded in future to include other criteria or possible exceptions. 

The Whelping Box area of the Bulldog Domain Forum consists of two boards as described below:

1) General Breeding Discussion

Everyone has access to read and start topics in this board, except Guests who can not start topics in this board.  However, the only members who can reply to topics are:

•   the original poster (but only in topics they start)
•   Registered Breeders who have been given unrestricted access (see link below to submit an application requesting access).

Because of the restrictions on who will be able to participate in discussions, please consider if your topic should still be placed in this board before posting.  Perhaps the main forum boards will be more appropriate where all members may reply. By posting in this board, you acknowledge that only you and Registered Breeders will be able to reply to your posts. 

2) Registered Breeders Only

This board is for use only by Registered Breeders.  Guests and other members will not have access to view posts in this board.  The purpose of this board is to provide a place where breeders can ask tough questions safely and get honest answers from fellow breeders without the fear of being patronized or otherwise discounted or attacked. This board will be useful for breeding related discussion and will allow participants to learn from one another. 

The forum administrator (Lord Goliath) will also have discretion to give full access to other members who may not necessarily qualify but where there will be a mutual benefit if they do have full access - this will not be a common situation and in some cases, access may be temporary only.

Remember, you are expected to act in a responsible manner at all times. Keep all personal disputes out of discussions. While you are not expected to reply or otherwise respond to all posts in these areas, please remember that if people come asking for advice and they are met with abuse, then your unrestricted access may be removed.

The Whelping Box area is now officially open. You should see it located just below the "Announcements, News and Feeback" boards.  Breeders who have registered will also see the breeder's only board where they may discuss breeding details with others.

Just a reminder that as a member of Bulldog Domain  you can post your own questions to the breeding discussion area.  Things may be a bit slow with regard to response time until the area becomes more established.  Until then and to help that along I encourage any breeders reading this to review the criteria (listed in the first post) and consider applying to become a registered breeder - there are likely to be some additional benefits to that soon as well 

Also please encourage any web inclined breeders you know to consider joining.
