Best age to breed?

What is the ideal age to breed for both males and females?

With my girls, I wait till at least the third heat cycle or two years of age.  With the males, it depends on the lines.  Of course, I wait till they're a year old, at least...but also, I want to know how the lines mature.  A 12 month old boy from one line may be near maturity, while one from another line is still quite the puppy.

Ditto for us.  We wait until at least the 3rd heat cycle for a female and at least 12 months of age for a male.
