What's up with posts...

Not showing up when I click "show all unread topics"

Sometimes there are new posts but I don't see them until I visit the individual board where they're located.

I know Blaine was having this problem also, but this has been going on for a few months with me. 

I don't think it's the computer, because it also does it on all of the work computers.

I've been having the same problem...it's totally hit or miss if new posts show up...

Is it at all possible that you are accidentally clicking the "Show unread posts since last visit" link? 

That will only show posts since the last session you had on the site.

Nope, I don't hit the "unread since last visit link" because I visit so often there's usually nothing there.

Try clearing the cache and cookies...some times that resolves issues.

^^  could be but I'm betting a happy meal that's not the issue now.

This happened in here before but it's been quite awhile.

It just started recently. I was noticing it personally. The Unreads would suddenly lose 1/2 or 2/3rds of what I had left.

Then I started noticing  the   "?? how'd I miss this post"  posts from other users. 
The Unread post function is misbehaving, that's how.

Melanie,  don't cuss you pc if clearing cache and cookies doesn't resolve it. I can put my quintessential  help desk hat on and invite you reboot, scan disk, defrag and  reinstall your printer drivers if that will make you feel better.

OH HE!! NO!

I just installed a new hard drive in this lappy because it fried!!    That included all drivers and extraneous programs.  OMG!!

Blaine is right.  I am pretty sure this is due to some corruption in the database.  I'll do some DB clean up and see if that helps.  If memory serves it worked (or seemed) to the last time when Blaine had issues.
