A picture is worth a thousand words they say.
Someone is always asking what staff, a hot spot, interdigital cyst, cherry eye, ear infection, tail pocket, runny nose, runny poop,  crusty nose, ad nauseum looks like.

I was thinking there's been some pretty good shots of some maladies posted in here at one time or another.

What if a new sticky thread was added to health. It'd be post only and after being reviewed/accepted by you or the mod.

Title of each thread (in case it's a separate forum) would be health issue.
i.e.   nasodigital hyperkeratosis (a.k.a. crusty nose)
Then clear, close up picture(s) would be provided.

Just a visual domain reference for us I guess.  Trying to list exact causes or cures may not be a good idea as there are several that still seem to be speculation on the exact cause (like crusty nose or tear stains) and cures may not be guaranteed from one dog to the next either.
Unless,  a member has before/after pics with hard evidence of one particular course of treatment resolving the issue or at least making it tolerable.

Just a thought that's crossed my mind recently.

There must be something to the whole "great minds thinking alike thing."  Wink

I've got a version on this in progress right now for the site redesign.   I am trying very hard to finish the redesign because as many of you know, I've been talking about it for a long time now.

On a similar note, I would love to see close up pictures of black toenails that are ok to cut, especially from the underside. I googled it but the pictures I found weren't that helpful. I spend a lot of time looking at Biscuits' toenails and I'm not sure whether they are the right length.

blaine, great idea, we are going to the vet tomorrow because the countess has what i think is a hot spot that just wont go away. and i've done everything i possibly can. done searches on here and cant get any clear pics. other then waving the magic bully wand, its just not cooperating.

james sounds great, cant wait for the new design. though i have to say i am quite comfortable with this one.
