I couldn't resist posting this.  This is my younger  brother who is retiring from the sheriff's department in two weeks after 30 years.  And of course, his fam:

Thanks.  That's Bailey (laying down)  and Maui, the yellow labs and Zeus and Josey the african greys.  He's been showing Maui and has gotten a few ribbons for her.  He got the birds back when I had my pet store.  Owners giving them to me to find homes for. 
He is very excited about retiring.  He plans on volunteering immediately at our local bird sanctuary to help with the oil which looks like it will be coming our way.  And then is also going to get involved with dogs in some way or another.

What a great picture!  I've never had a bird but they fascinate me.  Kudos to him for volunteering to help with other birds & dogs.     I hope he enjoys his retirement!

Good for him, congrats on his retirement and glad to hear that there are people out there who are trying to help with that dang oil spill!  Is there anything we can do from Pennsylvania to help that situation?  Supplies to be sent for clean-up, etc?
