Fniding posts

OK - I'm a dummy, but how do you find a post that interests you, like something you were following a couple days ago, but now is buried on a page several pages down?  Is there a Search function that I'm just not seeing? 
If I sort by topic, and the topic starts with the letter "M", it is somewhere in the middle of 98 pages...  There has to be an easier way, and I'm just not figuring it out.

at the top right below the unread posts etc, you will see icons to click on, home, help, search, profile, calender, and logout. that is where the search function is located. you still might have to sift through some stuff to get to what you are looking for but its much easier then what your doing now. good luck.
