Eatin' grass

Oliver learned from his half-sister Annie that the wide blades of grass are the best ones.  He eats some grass on every walk or time in the yard - no problems at all. 
Now, with winter approaching, the grass dying and soon to be snow-covered, does anyone have any recommendations?  Is indoor growing "cat-grass" OK for him to eat?  The cat likes it, but that doesn't mean it would or wouldn't be a problem for Oliver.  What about Greenies?  He never even chews them, basically swallows them whole.  Any other ideas?

We feed him regular Science Diet puppy, so I wouldn't think he is missing any nutrient he gets from the grass - he just likes to eat it.

Winston eats grass and also taught Ashii to get grass too  Down in Florida we don't have to worry about snow    but our grass doesn't grow that well in the winter. 
As to greenies, JMHO but I wouldn't let him have them.  I have heard some real horror stories about them getting stuck in their digestive track.....Maybe call and ask your Vet if the "kitty" grass is okay, just to be on the safe side.  Or maybe one of the peeps here on the domain will know.
Luckily Winston and Ashi like the "beef sticks" but when they get smaller, I take them away.  Winston doesn't swallow them, just chews the heck out of them.

Simon likes grass too, he loves french style green beans, maybe that would be a replacement for him.

I can't be sure of this, bc Maddy only eats grass when she has upset tummy, so I never really paid attention before.  But I feel like I may have seen dog-grass in the Petco once before.  Like in the same area with the cat-grass, just for dogs instead...I don't know if I'm just remembering what I want to remember but maybe try looking there or on the internet.

You would think I had cows, not Bulldogs!  Mine don't have much access to grass since we have no yard, but as soon as we are somewhere with grass, they turn into grazing cattle!    If I got one of those indoor plots, I don't think I'd be able to re-grow it fast enough!

Fen can be a bit of a cow himself, especially if he gets pissed that you were able to steal the ball back from him or not paying him enough attention. its not really something i encourage however, because it usually results in him hacking/barfing it all back up.

My dogs graze too.  I don't give them anything in the winter and then it is a special treat in early spring.  They don't seem to miss it in the winter.
