I think that we all need to keep in mind that one training method does not work for all dogs.

For all the people who let there dogs do whatever they want (allowed on furniture, lays on you, give them treats and affection just because there cute, ect.) keep doing it. I let my dogs get away with those things too. Because they don't have behavior problems it is ok to let them do it.
But if you have a dog that has jealousy/dominant issues and you let him get away with doing anything they want it is only going to make their problems worse.

I haven't read all of her back posts but I think that Kris's dogs aren't as bad as everyone is thinking they are. I used to have two dogs that hated each other so I can understand what she is going threw. It is just something really frustrating to have to deal with and she has been trying to help them.  And I don't think that just because two dogs don't get along make them hate all dogs.

I have also used the NILF program many times. When implemented properly, its a great tool in teaching dogs self control skills.

Kris, I don't need "all the authors and experts" to explain the why's and how's, I already know them. If your comment on whether or not I have published a book or have a T.V. show was somehow meant to demean or diminish my knowlege or experience, it didn't work. With your theory, my doctor because he has never written a book is less qualified, or maybe I should mention your theory to my automobile mechanic who has a wild sense of humor that until he has his own T.V. show that I will be paying him less.

And yes Kris, I am qualified to give my opinion.
I have been a member of APDT for many years- an organization for professional dog trainers founded by Dr. Ian Dunbar
I am a certified evaluator for the AKC
I volunteered training dogs at a shelter for 6 years.
I took and passed the CPDT exam in 2005. A 4 hour exam on ethology, training, behavior and learning theory
I have taught hundreds of hours of classes and private sessions.
I have attended dozens of seminars and week long workshops given by
  Patricia B. McConnell PhD
  Brenda Aloff
  Pia Silvani
  Karen Pryor
  Karen London PhD
  Kathy Sdao
  Sue Sternberg
  Dr. Karen Overall
  Jean Donaldson
  Suzanne Clothier
  Nicole Wilde
  Pamela Reid PhD
and more that I can't think of right now. I have a library of books too numerous to count. I do know dogs.

I am going to lock this thread as it is getting snarky and is getting off of the topic.
