So yesterday morning Ottis woke up limping. The odd thing is he went to sleep the night before and he was walking perfectly fine. It just happened overnight. So being the new bully owner's that we are, we called the vet and they were able to see him in the afternoon. He did a physical exam and checked both hind legs and didn't feel a difference between the right and left (which is the one that's injured) He told that it seemed to be a strained ACL, so he gave us Metacam which is an anti-inflammatory and Tramadol which is a pain killer. He said if it's just strained we should see him getting better within the next few days. If not, we should get x-rays and see if there's more behind this next week.
I'm really hoping it's just strained and nothing more than that. He woke up pretty much the same this morning, but I'm praying to see improvements soon.
We knew the possible health issues that came with bulldogs, we just didn't think it would happen this soon (since our bugger is only 7 months old) and so unexpectedly. Has this happened to anyone else?
Thanks for reading
