RIP my crazy General!

Yeah cosequin is daily.  My vet is closed today (which I am shocked she didn't tell me last night when she called to check on him) and so I got a referral from a friend for a vet around here.  (I drove an hour to my current vet because I had moved away and didn't want to change vets).  He is in surgery, but can see him at 2:30.

He had blood work done Monday, which was normal.  She said his white blood cell count was a little high, but not high enough to be alarmed about.  Also said his potassium (I think) has a little high.  Maybe we need new blood work today in case anything has changed.

General vomited some bile a while ago, I called the new vet to see if I should just take him to a hospital, but they said bile was not something that is urgent.  And his tummy is empty because he is no longer eating.  He is drinking though, I was told to give him pedialite to keep electrolytes in his system.

I just want to find out for sure what is wrong with my baby.  My boss is being super cool that I have not been at work fro two days because of this.  She is a dog person too, and has texted me a few times checking on him.

one thing I have learned with Brody is that he can quickly become allergic to any number of things over night and each dog will exhibit their own symptoms of the allergy.  I've looked at Cosequin and it seems fairly safe - however there are no guarantee's so I would stop giving it immediately. Vet's are awesome people who try to help, but if you think about it they treat a bunch of different animals and can't possibly know everything.  Trust your instinct at times.   I hope your boy feels better very soon, I can only imagine the fear and stress you're under right now!
