No need for an eye roll ... We all do what works for us. That wouldn't have worked for me personally. I wouldn't have gotten on that flight. Don't care about the vaca or the money my dog comes first. IMO 6 is too much but that's me. In the end no harm no foul right pc was fine n u learned a little somethin. I'm old fashioned my kids never had a sitter that wasn't family n neither have my bullies.

I would not have dropped mine either.  Tongue  If I had to postpone my trip, oh well, that's what I would do.  I'm sure the DH would not have been happy but....... Also, jmho, I would have done a trial run a few weeks before.  I have done that in the past.

This wasn't the first time they stayed at her house, more like 20th.  We've used her plenty of times and they were usually the only dogs there (and her own) or one or two others.  Never had an issue before July, and we haven't used her since July. This was July 4th weekend and there were 7 dogs there when we dropped them off.  We found that she had 14 when we picked them up.  It's not like we blindly picked a sitter and hoped for the best. I researched the  company extensively, and they weren't cheap, but this particular sitter happened to be taking dogs without the company's knowledge, in addition to ones they booked for her.  They had no knowledge of this until I reported her.

Of course, having our families watch them would be best but that would mean either moving to Europe or Africa and I don't see that happening any time soon. We don't have a single family member anywhere near CA and very few in the US.

But anyway, this post had nothing to do with that and everything to do with her using his photo without our expressed written consent, thus violating the dog sitting contract we signed.  Our friends are contract attorneys, she's legally supposed to give us all the profits from the sales of his photos/calendars, which I assume she knows and is the reason she removed all his items from her site.

You could look at it in a positive way, PC is bringing happiness to anyone who purchased the photo. I was always flattered when someone asked to take a photo of Bean, or wanted to use her as their screen saver. The IRS is in the same building where I work, one of the agents was a friend of mine, she had  photos of Emma on her wall. She said it would make even the grumpiest patrons smile. I think Bulldogs were put on this earth to make people smile and spread happiness. I always start my day by opening Zelda's daily dawgma, it never fails to make my grumpy self smile! PC might be making someone who is down on their luck smile  Wink.

Ha Terry, I have pics of Bean on my PC (caught out - LOL), I also have pics of Harlow, Steeler, Ozzy, Dwight, Winnie etc, etc in their awesome outfits (we don't get such great outfits here in SA).   And I totally agree Bulldogs are put on tnis earth to bring happiness, joy, love etc. etc. so yes maybe PC is bringing a smile to someone who is really in need of a smile!
Look at it this way - not every Bullie has the opportunity of being a "model" for a calendar.  So good for you Pork Chop!  Sure if the woman is making mega bucks I would want a cut but hopefully she is not getting rich out of it so I would let him bask in the glory of being "famous".  JMO of course.
