RIP my crazy General!

One more question about my new 6 month old bullie Molly.

I have only had one bulldog before, and Molly is a much louder breather/snorer than General was!  She snores very loud, but she also snorts and snuffles when awake, especially when she is playing.  I think a lot of it might have had to do with her being nervous in her new home with us last night.  She did seem a little calmer this morning.  She occasionally sounds a little plegmy and coughed once or twice.  But again. she could have just gotten anxious and worked up about leaving her family.

The people who had to give her up said she had already had her palate trimmed down when she was spayed.  So could it be that it might need done again?  Or could be a hypoplastic trachea?  She also appears to do a little bit of reverse sneezing, but not much.

I know I will need to get my vet to look at this, but just wondered if anyone thought her symptoms sounded like it may be one of the above issues.  Or maybe she is just a noisier bulldog!  Smiley

What i have noticed is every bully is different (granted dozer is my first MY bully).  His best friend (coworker's dog) is a female 2 year old OEBully that sounds WAY different than dozer, much heavier, much more tissue-y (how can you explain the sound) sounding breathing... where as dozer just pants hard when he is tired and doesnt have such a wet sound to it.  Yet she claims that her bully's breathing is better than dozers? I dont know, the vet said she had a clear bill of health and no palate issues...

Great thanks!  That's what I was kind of wondering- if it was just different that what I was used to with General.  I will still have the vet take a look, of course, when I take her in.  Oh man, does Molly ever snore loud!  I don't know how such a sound can come out of such a little girl.  LOL  But I love it.
