I found a little sleeping flower today on the doggie bed snoring like a Mack Truck! My sweet little monkey is doing well. This soft collar is such a blessing. I can't imagine having your ear canals removed and then trying to rest with one of those hard plastic cones. Bless his little heart, he will no longer have openings, his ears are stitched shut..... it will be completely smooth under the flaps, it's really odd looking.  |

Aw, Terry, he looks so peaceful. Did the vet provide the softer collar or did you have to go and get one? Give him a big hug and kiss from us when you get home! I called and asked them to measure his neck so I could pick one up on the way to get him Friday (thanks for the suggestion BC). They called back and said they would supply one for him. It's so nice because I could trim it for him, his neck is so thick the collar was huge. |

They look like tulips with that collor dont they! If u need more (steeler chewed his first one) u can get them cheap on amazon fyi. He looks so sweet n im so happy hes resting comfortable! Xo

Next week his National Guard unit goes to Indiana for training prior to deploying to Afganistan. Meaty LOVES him SO much !! |

Love that! I have one also ......hes 15! His mom n my daughter were friends yrs ago. His mom had a meltdown n hes been with me since last april! Not exactly what i was expecting at my age n place but he needed me!

He is hearing through vibrations. He has no ear canals now, but the surgeon said he can hear or I guess I should say sense sounds with vibrations. Once he is all healed we need to meet up in Frederick.  |

I've "had" him since he was 13 - even though he was in a foster home till 18 - I took him to the Dr when he was sick, picked him up from school, etc. Rescue dogs, rescue teenagers - is there really much difference ?? ('cept Meatball doesn't get stopped for speeding in MY car!!) I have to get some pics taken of the two of them so he can load them up and take them with him. |
