Bulldogs Rule!

« on: May 07, 2011, 10:55:00 PM »

supposed to be a bit more normal. We got up, started some laundry, picked up the living room some and started building the chicken coop.  I have chicks growing quickly in a brooder box in what will one day be our Master Bathroom again.( It was demoed and we are at stalemate on tile, fixtures etc.It sits striped down to bare walls ) Anyway....I kept hearing a noise as we were framing out  the walls for the coop. I thought maybe our resident Mocking Bird was at it. No. It was definitely a kitten crying. Great another shed litter we thought. The sound was actually coming from a metal box on the side of the shed. Aaron found 4 kittens maybe 10 days old in it. Today's high was in the 90s here. The metal was already too hot to touch. He pulled them out with the bbq spatula and I  brought them in the house to cool off in a rubbermaid container. They are in the Main bathroom. We took Hank out to Petsmart to get some kitten formula. I think they have upper resp going on, but they seem ok so far. I don't think they care much for the bottle yet. We have done the bottle thing before.

Yes, I'm just slightly crazy now.

I guess someone else adopted the bullie I inquired on. Two of the kittens are back with their mother and safe under the big shed. I hoped we could get her to take the other two. They are finally starting to get into eating from a bottle.

I'm not sure the kittens are a Midge thing. There's a thing at work going on since the same time Midge's hospitalization. I 'll let you all know whats up when I know more.
