He needed his nails clipped They have to knock him out to clip his nails. His ears needed a deep cleaning so they did that. A tech cracked some tartar off his gum line
"since he was asleep". K. dremeled his nails as usual. Boy are they pretty! We had blood drawn beacuse "well he's 5 and we haven't done any bloodwork on him. His Atopica got refilled.

I got in this afternoon to find the blood results and a note from Hank's Doc "H-These numbers look Great!"

My bill just continues to grow.
Dr W also patched up one of the kittens with a few stitches for an abscess on its tail today. Lil one may not make it. He prescribed ointment for their eyes.

At least you got a full, good tune-up and were able to take advantage of his being out at the time.
How often do you have to do that?
Guess it's a good thing you work in a vet's office.

I think it comes out to about every three or four months for Hank. I swear he has the ears of a cocker spaniel.
The  one kitten didn't make it, but one of its littermates reappeared in the yard looking overheated so Aaron brought her(?) inside. The are snuggling and playing. We are putting Terramycin  in their eyes twice a day.

My next paycheck will be "catch and release". It's a very good thing to work ar a vet office.

Thats a good way of putting it.. Tune-up.. thats awesome! Glad he's doing well.. you are so lucky to be working in a Vet's office.. I found myself day dreaming a couple of times since I became a bulldog lover and owner, of going back to school and being a Vet.. I swear I did.. I feel guilty sometimes sitting in an office and crunching numbers all day..
I'm sorry about the kitten that didnt make it.. I love kittens!

A tune up! Awesome!  Meaty goes for his nails every other week.... they were pretty long when we got him and have been trying to work them shorter but it doesn't seem to be working.  The longer they get the more he chews his feet so I try to stay on top of it.

For his ears I promise him a walk, dangle the leash, and then clean them.... the walk is his reward.  Otherwise we play "catch the dog with the dirty ears" for half an hour!

I wish we could bribe Hank. Nothing will make him let me clip his nails. His allergy seems to be to his own yeast and when its at its worst his feet turn bright red and a very sensitive. It also affects his ears, but I can usually clean them. He stays on the Atopica daily, got a round of Prednisone and cephalexin. Pretty much the routine with him.

So happy Hank is doing well! Sorry about the kitten. Sad  Lumpy won't let me cut his nails, either. I have to take him to a groomer or the vet. He is fine for them! I think it is because he is out of his element.
