Hi there, so my bulldog is a year and a half. We have been struggling with this issue since she was a pup but it's seemingly seasonal. I've ruled out the possibility that it's food. She breaks out in red bumps/hives on her belly, armpits, and under her neck and it seems to be when I leave her outside for a long time. (more than 15 minutes or so but im not positive on this) My breeder thought it may be a reaction to bug bites... Any other ideas? Should I be giving her benadryl each time she's outside? He bumps go away after 4 days or so. Suggestions/advice? Thanks for any feedback!

Definitely sounds like an allergic reaction. Benadryl will help her.

It may be the grass - or something you're putting ON the grass or plants - fertilizer, weed killer, etc. Is she getting into poison ivy out there?

Try giving her a bath when she comes in?

Sooo oddd. My sons boston and his mil's chiu have the same problem. We have no idea what it is. They have no grass, cement, pool etc. If u find out anything let me know.  Benedryl is good but better to try n find the culprit...hard to do tho.
