Well it only snows in our city about once every twenty years, but that is now! It started snowing late afternoon Sunday, so we went to the local park and the big boy (who has never seen snow before) enjoyed the snow and especially chasing us when we had a snowfight! The pics aren pretty bad as the light was fading, but they give some idea.

That's way too hot for bullies! Our boy likes the cooler weather and unlike us does not too much like the summers here, even though they are quite mild. Still, the snow was a really rare event here - heaviest snow in the city since 1973 (and the time before that was 1939). Here's a video someone took showing people being amazed by the snowfall - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpGaIDm0azU

Very cool! Similar here, had a snow in the 80s that was huge, last yr we had a fluke storm n got abt an inch, people were freaking out.

My dogs love the heat...they lay out in the sun til i think theyve had enough n force them in, only downside, in the summer we need to take our walks very early n im not such a mornin girl.

Yeah the things we have to do for our bullies - don't know when last I had a real lie in on a Saturday or Sunday (although he is a whole heap better then when young when I used to have to get up at 6am on those days!)

As time goes on our boy is getting more used to the heat. When he was young, almost uniquely in my experience of dogs, he would not lie by the fire even in the middle of winter, but away from it. Now he does jump up on the chair in front of the heater, and also seems to like sitting in the sun on the deck, although he will move out quickly as it gets hot and he starts panting. All this in a temperate climate of coldest night of year about 33 degrees F and hottest day maybe mid eighties. He is happy to walk on the colest day of the year but starts to wilt in his walks in summer, and I could not see him handing 105 F - his temperature clock seems much more atturned to cooler weather than ours.

Well the snow all melted within a few days but it was fun while it lasted!

Here are pictures back to normal of our river walk Sunday. The big boy decided he wanted to explore a new side track that is being made (which was difficult to access before because of blackberry bushes and some stinging nettles, but which have now been cleared). So our usual one hour stroll turned into an hour and a half strol (including down and up the steep path back to the road), and he was tuckered out and went to sleep on the couch at the end of it!
