Life's a Beach!

« on: December 28, 2011, 07:18:44 AM »

Magoo saw the oncologist at The Life Center in Leesburg VA. She said she is 85% sure it is cancer but is sending the blood work off to Colorado to confirm it and also to confirm if it is acute or chronic. She believes it is chronic which is a good thing. From what she told me yesterday he could live another 1 to 2  years with oral steroids being administered at home. They would monitor him monthly to make certain his organs are not being affected. If anyone has experience with this type of cancer and dogs please chime in. Other than a slight weight loss and becoming tired after his walk he is showing no signs of being ill. His appetite is good, bodily functions are all fine. Very joyful when I walk into the room, still sitting on my lap giving me kisses and small little love bites on the chin! He is one tough little guy. He has been through so much, it breaks my heart knowing he has this battle ahead of him. My goal is to keep him happy and doing all the things he enjoys until his little body gives out  Cry
