Hi!!!  I just found this board, and it is filled with such great information.  Has anyone tried optrex eye solution for humans or Eye Envy for tear stains.  I have been doing lots of searching on the web and these two products get lots of press.  I have been using the peroxide with cornstarch on my sweet bullie, but it is so irritating.  Both these products claim they are completely non-irrating, but after searching this site noone seems to be talking about them.  What do y'all think???  I am willing to try anything!!!  ps.  I have already switched to bottled water with a tsp of vinegar and my baby is on RC which he loves!!!!  The stains are not bad, but I still want to keep on top of them.

Welcome  Grin Grin

My bulldog has tear stains and I have tried many things to no avail.  Many people on this site have had luck with changing food and using stainless steel pans for water but nothing has worked for me.  It could be my dogs problem is I give her LARGE meat bones to chew on during the week.  I did try the eye envy but had no luck, however,  one thing I have learned from the people and dogs here, what works for one may not for another and vice versa.  Roxie is also on Royal Canin, she loves it.

Thanks so much for your responses.  Heather, I just swithched over to bottled water after reading your results with Maggie.  I'll let you know how it works on Deezie.  I think I will pass on the Eye Envy and see if I can find Optrex.  CVS does not carry it.  I will post the results....if any.  Ohhhhhh, what we do for our sweet doggies!!!!!!!

Switching to the distilled water did the trick for Maggie, she was already on Royal Canine when I switched over to the water.  But I read on another post that the beet pulp in RC is white beet pulp, so I would think that it being white would not increase the tear stains.  Good luck and let us know how it goes.
