I don't have a pic yet but mr. Chubbs has shown us a goofy routine when he's real tire during the day.  Kind of like the mini fits all of my babies would do when they were frustrated at being too sleepy.

First he keeps trying a different position on the floor, huffing but just can't get comfortable (now I know at this point he'd be contented with a crate nap).

In the living room, on the couch he'll start shoving his face down in the back crack or between the cushions...  and BARK!
It's so funny.  Butt up and head buried in a crack or under pillows and barking although you can just barely hear it since he's got his head buried.
Outside, I put a big old comforter down cause I thought he was tired. He tried different positions; kept shifting around; tried rearranging it;  finally he had his head shoved in between a couple of layers and barked.  Grin

Now when he does that I can take him to the crate and not get a single sound from him.

AWWWW Kiss Kiss Kiss  So cute!  It's great that he is so content already in his crate Blaine.  You're doing a great job with him!  I saw that you are doing the lead leash method too Wink  Shelly's dog General is like that with putting his head underneath the covers.  Here is the link that shows how he sleeps!  It's too funny!   http://forum.bulldogdomain.com/index.php?topic=6876.0

thanks for General's link.  Smiley
Maybe he's gotten used to the sheet over the front when he's down for a serious nap. He'll grab 40 winks on the AC register or  at my feet in the garage but it's just the quick cat naps.

Anyone else have bedtime rituals they go through?

Oliver sleeps in our bed and he circles and circles and circles until he has found the perfect spot to curl up in, it takes about 5 minutes every night.  He also inevitably decideds to sleep right in the middle of my "spot" on the bed so I have no where to put my legs.  When I try to get some room, he gives me dirty looks.
