Ira is in the Airforce and has been to the mideast once.
They've been training relentlessly recently for another deployment.

I just got this pic on my cell phone this afternoon.
I don't know what happened yet or how bad the damage is.

Ira is my only son and I think we could use a few positive thoughts from abroad.

thanks to all.... it helped and is much appreciated.

Short story -  it involved breaking glass; did not loose any fingers although some tendons were cut.
Surgery, pins and rehab in his future.

Was that his dominant hand....what kind of long term effects are they predicting...considering the tendon damage?
