Ever heard of  Jill Deringer -  a nationally known trainer who's been on television because she can bark like 200 different dogs ?

A lady in FL hired her to correct an 18mth GSD's problem of being unfriendly towards everyone but her teenage son.
So Jill the super trainer  muzzled  Ringo and held him down to show him who's boss (allegedly the alpha roll technique).
The problem is that after sitting on the dog for an hour, Ringo suffered what appeared to be heat stroke, was rushed to the vet and eventually had to be euthanized.
(This is from an article I cut out of last Wenesday's Chicago Tribune)

On the flip side we have Tyson the skateboard freak in CA.
This lady in China was going to one-up him I think.  Grin
( I just picked this up in Strange News on Comcast)

Woman Crashes When Teaching Dog to Drive
By Associated Press

BEIJING - A woman in Hohhot, the capital of north China's Inner Mongolia region, crashed her car while giving her dog a driving lesson, the official Xinhua News Agency said Monday.

No injuries were reported although both vehicles were slightly damaged, it said.

The woman, identified only be her surname, Li, said her dog "was fond of crouching on the steering wheel and often watched her drive," according to Xinhua.

"She thought she would let the dog 'have a try' while she operated the accelerator and brake," the report said. "They did not make it far before crashing into an oncoming car."

Xinhua did not say what kind of dog or vehicles were involved but Li paid for repairs.

Maybe the super trainer needs to have someone duct tape her mouth and sit on her for a while... Angry Angry

Ever since the Monks of New Skete published that book with alpha rolling in chapter 2, every doofus with a misguided sense of themselves as a "trainer" has embraced the idea of indiscriminantly alpha rolling any dog for any reason. I see this wahoo has decided to add alpha pinning as a variation. I hope she gets prosecuted under animal cruelty and torture charges.

As for the woman in China, let's hope she's out of the gene pool.
