Our beautiful girl came into our lives in the summer of 2000.  She touched our hearts and souls like nothing before.  Our years together were wrought with many medical issues and hurdles that should not have been and could have been avoided had she been cared for better.  Duchie was my 24/7 companion, we ate together, worked together, walked together, slept together and she was a permanent fixture in the passenger seat of my suv no matter where the journey--anyone that came along knew they had  to ride in the back.  She was tough, aloof, comical, lovable, pushie, demanding, dominating and able to steal your heart with one look.  We loved her so much and always will.  She left us abruptly on September 23, 2006 at nearly 10 years old.  Although we miss her every day, we know that she is running free and that we will see her again.  I love you Sweetheart.
