Thought I would stop by with a photo of the sweet Magoo and an update. He was diagnosed with Leukemia in late December. I was told the chemo might give him a few more months but would not cure him. The oncologist put him on chemo but he wasn't doing well with it. I decided to see a holistic vet. He has been on Chinese herbs for almost 2 months, eating lots of blueberries, bananas, vitamin E, carrots, Greek yogurt and peanut butter with his kibble. His lymphocyte numbers have been increasing for over a year. Life expectancy with Leukemia (not Lymphoma) is about 2 years. His regular vet told me to only expect him to be around another year. Three weeks ago we did the follow up blood work. His lymphocytes were reduced by 50%!! The pathologist was baffled. He is doing so well, full of energy and has even started to gain some weight. The holistic vet said the second round of blood work in 3 weeks will give us a better understanding of what is going on. For know I am so encouraged that he may just make it a few more years. What a love he is.
