We just got a new 8 week old English Bulldog from a breeder in California last Thursday. By Saturdurday morning she was throwing up and having diarrhea and we took her to the vet immediatly. She was diagnosed with parvo and we had her hospitalized. Sunday morning she was doing great so we brought her home, and that night she stopped eating and drinking entirely and had mor diarrhea. We took her back to the vet and that is where she has been since, going on 6 days. She did have blood in her stool for a couple of days and now that is gone, and the vet called this morning hopeful because she started drinking water on her own. We received a call from the vet this afternoon saying that she won't eat any food, and her white blood cell count is basically non existant. This is a long time for a puppy to have parvo the vet said and we aren't sure what to do anymore. Has anyone had a bulldog puppy with parvo for this long that actually pulled through?

I don't like to do this on this great forum but there seem to be a lot less responses than in the past here and my heart goes out to you with your puppy. I don't know too much about parvo except that it is a serious illness; however I believe a reasonable proportion of puppies can survive. Basically the vet is the best person to advise, and I hope you have a good one.
